PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SUPLEMEN KAPSUL BUBUK DAUN KELOR (Moringa oleifera) TERHADAP SENSASI NYERI DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)

Abstract. Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) can cause functional limitations in muscles such as stiffness and decreased muscle ability if not treated immediately and can have a negative impact on a person's ability to carry out activities. The aim of this research is to accelerate the reduction of muscle pain due to DOMS by administering Moringe oleifera leaf extract powder capsules. This research uses quantitative descriptive research with a randomized group pretest and posttest design. The sample in this study were students who took part in volleyball extracurriculars who were divided into 2 groups, 10 people in the treatment group and 10 people in the control group. Moringa leaf powder capsules are given after doing eccentric activities at a dose of 1000mg per day. Administration is carried out 1 hour and 24 hours after eccentric activity. Then measure muscle pain using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Measurements were taken 1 hour before administering Moringa leaf powder capsules and 48 hours after eccentric activity. From the results of research that has been carried out, it is known that giving Moringa leaf powder capsules to the treatment group can reduce muscle pain 48 hours after doing eccentric activity (6 ±0,816) when compared to the control group (7,5 ±0,788) with a value of p=0.00 (p)
